#DCTV The Flash S03E19: The Once and Future Flash Review (Spoilers!)

Good day guys! It’s another good day to talk about The Fastest Man Alive and his recent exploits. But before I go in the article, I want to warn you that this post is going to contain spoilers from the recent episode of The Flash. So if you don’t want things to be spoiled, you are free to leave.

With that said, let”s start.

The Review!

In this episode, Barry travels to the future specifically eight years after Iris’ death. We get to see future members of Team Flash and it seems that the team has been disbanded after Iris’ death. Cisco lost his hands from the battle with Killer Frost, Julian went to Iron Heights where he is taking care of Caitlin who is still Killer Frost, Wally is paralyzed waist down and is experiencing trauma, and Joe is upset with Barry leaving them. Future Barry on the other hand has given up fighting crime and has left the city in the mercy of the Rogues specifically to Top and Mirror Master.

The episode also explores the emotional aspect. Everyone was broken and everyone lost something they valued and they proved that Savitar won the battle. He may be placed in the Speed Force forever but he won by proving that every member of the team will be broken.

But Barry 2017 encouraged the team that even if it is hard to hold on to hope and it may seem that all is lost, one should not be discouraged for hope will still come. In this episode, we get to see the effects of Savitar after the death of Iris. All in all, this episode is one of the greatest moments of The Flash this season. It showed us and even taught us that even if all hope may seem lost, one should never leave his family behind in mourning.

The Flash returns this week with an all new episode. Till next time.
