Man! This week’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is really exciting and before I go ahead of myself, I am warning you that this article is going to have spoilers. With that said, let;s begin.
This week, The Legion of Doom sets center stage. We see what they really want and how they work together. In the Legion, we have Eobard Thawne a.k.a. Reverse-Flash, Damian Dhark and Malcolm Merlyn. We see that somehow, they can work together and at the same time they can’t. Well, what do you expect? They’re villains after all.
The Story! (So Far)
The Legends are still in search for the kidnapped Rip and still looking on how to operate the amulet and what are its secrets. Then we have the Legion of Doom who are doing a great job in torturing Captain Hunter. We get to see Thawne, Dhark and Merlyn try to get what they want from Captain Hunter who really doesn’t remember his old life. Good thing, Damian Dhark got something, and literally got something, out of Rip’s mouth. It was Rip’s tooth and in the tooth is some kind of bar code, like what Eobard said, and it contains the data of Captain Hunter’s bank account in Switzerland and probably it contains the rest of the Spear of Destiny. Meanwhile, back in the Waverider, the Legends have decided to unlock the mysteries of the amulet and Prof. Stein has volunteered with Jex, for he knows a “colleague” who can help them which turned out to be Lily, Stein’s daughter. Then we get to see Sara, Amaya and Nate identifying who the evil speedster is.
Back to the Legion of Doom, Dhark and Merlyn, with Rip Hunter, are in Zurich, Switzerland and are about to access Rip’s safe. But the operation sideways when the safe requires the user to say his pass code which Rip can’t remember. The Legion fall backed and there the tension between Dhark and Merlyn grew stronger which led to the two having a sword fight, which was pretty cool.
Back to the Legends, Ray and Lily were having a little celebration for their recent achievement whenout of nowhere, Mick said that Lily was just an aberration. Lilly then goes and confronts his father about it which he did a pretty horrible thing in explaining. Now, in the Legion’s side, Damian and Malcolm have already calmed down and have decided to take matters into their own hands. They went back into the bank and retrieved what a memory holder of some sort. Eobard then followed them but it was a trap all along. Malcolm closed the vault and forced Thawne to tell them why he needed to the two of them. Thawne finally explained that something is after him. After Flashpoint and returning to his time, something suddenly came after him. At first Thawne thought that it was only a Time Wraith but then he reallized that it was stronger than a Wraith, it was the Black Flash, the Grimm Reaper of the Speed Force and also the defeated Zoom. Also in the Waverider, the team has finally discovered who the evil speedster is, thanks to Prof. Stein who explained who Eobard Thawne is and found out on why he is running. According to Nate, Thawne is running in order that his being non-existent will not catch up to him and for Thawne to not be erased from time.
Finally, Thawne agreed that he will not treat the two like henchmen and that they will work together. Dhark and Malcolm helped Thawne get away with Black Flash which was kinda creepy for he was running around Thawne, trying to sense him but in the end was trapped in a vault for the mean time which gave the Legion time to escape.
In the Waverider, Prof. Stein and his daughter had a little talk. Prof. Stein gave his apology to her daughter and said that he’d be honest to her and not keep secrets again.
Now, Thawne and the others are now back in their lair and Thawne explained that the device they retrieved from the vault is Captain Hunter’s memories. They then installed some part of his memories back and we find him and the Legion in 1776 New Jersey, wher Hunter just put a bullet in General Washington.
