Yes, I am Afraid

I am being haunted
And at my back it mounted.
I cannot bear it anymore,
Even though I swore
To leave it all behind,
But still it drags me as if I’m one of their kind.

Yes, I got over you,
And today, I know, I’m new.
But why are you haunting me?
Can you just leave me be?
Now something is creeping in,
But I won’t let it win.

But still, there’s fear,
And every time it comes near,
My Adamantium Armor shatters,
And my Vibranium Shield turns to clatters,
And I’m left with nothing
With only a painful sting.
